Reactive Recycling® recieves first commercial order

Probably the greatest future potential for Nexam Chemical lies in contributing to improved opportunities to use recycled plastic in more and more applications. This is a gigantic and global challenge where most solutions are still missing. Nexam Chemical has a clearly stated ambition to develop products that can be used as tools to improve the properties of plastics in recycling processes. At the beginning of the year, the Reactive Recycling® concept was launched.
We have now received our first commercial order from a customer in the UK who uses a recycled plastic stream. Gradually, this builds more and more evidence that the concept works and that it can be a growing business for a long time. The greatest value in this order is that this confirms our concept. However, the transaction corresponds to a value of approximately SEK 2 million per year.
“There is a big difference between recyclable plastic and plastic that is recycled. In principle, all plastic is recyclable, but not much is recycled. We have just launched our product portfolio for plastic recycling. It is very gratifying to already see early indications that this really works and can become a global and growing business, ”says Johan Arvidsson, CEO of Nexam Chemical.
